DPAC Ambassadors at Hadestown Blog

A musical that tells the story of Orpheus and Eurydice, a young couple who fall in love despite their poverty. The musical is a blend of American folk and New Orleans-inspired jazz and explores themes such as industry against nature, doubt against faith, and fear against love. The musical has been praised for its inventive retelling of the ancient Greek myth, its fascinating characters, and its enchanting world.
Throughout this musical everyone’s voice was great vocally. There was always singing going on but you wouldn’t even know because it ran so smoothly. Katelyn Crall, Erin McMillen and Miriam Navarrete (the fates) had great chemistry and harmonies and their presence gave a feeling that something important was about to happen. You were always on your toes and that’s what I loved about this musical there was never a dull moment.
Nickolaus Colón (Hades) played the role so great. Every time he hit the stage and said something it was like the whole room shook just from his voice he portrayed Hades perfectly it was so good. The whole cast also milked the comedic relief that was in the show which made it even better. I loved seeing this show and I would encourage others to see it.
