Come From Away's Powerful Impact

From the very beginning, Come From Away establishes itself as a musical like no other. Come From Away  is able to show the true stories of the many plane people who landed in Gander, Newfoundland, during 9/11 where they had life-changing experiences. The musical is able to show the true feeling of community between all different types of people, while not shying away from the reality of what happened. The show never feels like it’s set in a one track mindset, constantly having the actors change characters to show the many different experiences of those whose lives where changed. Come from Away is a show about community- the community that was built during a time of pain and crisis for many, yet a community who quickly became like family to each other, forming long lasting bonds. No matter where you are from, you can always find home in the people around you. Come from Away is a beautiful show through and through that I would recommend everyone see.
