A Magical Cirque Christmas Blog

By : Tierney & Emma

The Magical Cirque Christmas was truly magical. Working with volunteers before the show enriched our experience and taught us a lot of valuable information.

Before the show started, we both shadowed a volunteer.

Pictured: The beautiful Ms. Debra who works at the box office. We learned about their respected duties and helped them complete their tasks for the night. We talked and interacted with the attendees of the performance and gained experience working with others and creating a welcoming environment as people walked into DPAC.

After working our shifts with the volunteers, we picked up one of DPAC’s delicious pretzels and found our way to the seats to enjoy the show.

Pictured: The Ambassadors working the event tonight. The acrobatic show included singing, comedy, Christmas songs from across the ages, and an incredible display of lights and effects. The performers were at all times aware of the audience, knowing how to captivate and entertain. At some parts, the audience was at the edge of their seats watching the performers turn through the air on cables. Another spectacular moment featured a talented acrobat juggling light-up bowling pins and rings.

In between the crazy stunts, we were transported through a story of time travel with Christmas music from different decades. The show also featured interactive moments, and an audience member was even invited on stage. The audience participation made the show even more enjoyable to watch and added an element of comedy that was appealing to all ages. Between the humor and thrill factor, this show was definitely one to see. We are so grateful to be part of DPAC High School Ambassadors.
