Review of Annie

By Ella Vantubbergh

The production of Annie was absolutely amazing, the child actors were phenomenal and made me wish I had that type of talent. Of course the actor for Annie nailed all the high notes and killed when it came to the comedy that the character brings. But the actor for Molly had to be my favorite. For being such a young kid, she held such a high energy through what I would assume to be a tiring performance. Plus all her dancing bits were genuinely so cool to watch, it definitely contributed to wishing my mom pushed me harder in dance.

Meeting some of the cast members was also a memorable experience. Their advice was helpful and inspiring as it’s stuff that I actually feel like I can use. It wasn’t your regular, “Just follow your dreams” they actually spoke about how you can have multiple interests, and just because you don’t fully love theater like you love something else, doesn’t mean you can’t do both. Overall the production was amazing and the cast was so nice. It was an amazing experience that I would love to do again if I ever get the chance.
