To begin the night, we had our show debrief meeting in the Presidents Lounge, here we mingled with volunteers and our fellow ambassadors before going on our individual assignments.
I shadowed Willie! We shuttled people from the North Parking Deck to DPAC. I had a lot of fun hanging out with him, and he has impeccable taste in shows (his favorite is Come From Away)!
My favorite part of my shadow assignment was meeting all the people on their way to the show, I think we shuttled about 20 people over! Willie says his job is busier on colder, rainier days, so due to the beautiful weather it was a pretty chill night!
It was a packed house!

We started the evening out strong… with things that “will kill us”.
We learned about everything from black holes to tardigrades, and although I don’t share the sentiment of his tweet, I had fun laughing along with the entire audience!!
Uhm- some of it went over my head, I think I was too busy laughing. He lost me at quantum physics, but as he said “We (society) know enough about the universe to quantify our ignorance”.
One of my favorite moments of the night: “Anyone know my favorite planet? Yes, it’s Satur- NO WHO SAID PLUTO!??”- Neil DeGrasse Tyson.
