Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas! The Musical Ambassador Blog

Last night I was taken back into my childhood through DPAC Ambassadors with the opportunity to immerse myself into “Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas!”

As a “Showstopper,” I had the honor of greeting everyone as they walked through the DPAC doors! My partner and I has so much fun complementing people on their epic holiday sweaters. I could feel the excitement and anticipation as I welcomed joyful people ready to have their hearts grow during the beloved Holiday Classic! It was so fun to watch the crowd flow in, with a fair amount of grinch themed attire! I saw several Cindy-Lou Whos, and even a few Grinches! As I welcomed everyone, I noticed I need to up my holiday sweater game.

After welcoming everyone, I found my seat in the orchestra next to a fellow ambassador. The costumes and set stood out to me the most. They were spot on! It was like Dr. Seuss’ illustrations came to life! I couldn’t help but smile when the Whos burst into the signature song we all know and love, “Welcome, Christmas!” And, of course the whole audience loved it when Old Max sang “You’re a Mean One, Mr. Grinch.” Cindy-Lou-Who was absolutely precious and killed her solo song!

The energy in the theatre was alive! Once the snow started wafting down, smiles were contagious (and so apparently was grabbing for the snow).  Running at only an hour and a half with no intermission, it was a perfect way for families with kids both young and old to kick off the Holiday Season!
