Recently, I was given the experience to see The Price is Right Live! at DPAC. I honestly had no idea what to expect as I had seen the show, but wasn’t sure how it would be translated on stage. The audience may have been one of the loudest audiences I have ever heard at this theater with every. single. seat. sold out.

The games played were Punch-a-Bunch, Cliffhangers, Plinko, and several others. I thought the prizes would be smaller considering that this production tours…but no. The host said that since they love Durham so much, that every time someone on stage wins, someone else in the audience wins. It was also made known that this is only happening in Durham and has not happened anywhere else. A son and his mother along with a random couple in the audience won a four day, five night trip to Costa Rica with other prizes being a years supply of Ben and Jerry’s, $2500, and the final show case of a complete home theater, a trip to Las Vegas, a trip to Rome, AND a brand new car!

I really hope that Price is Right Live! comes back to DPAC because the environment was unlike any other I’d been in. Especially because next year I can compete :).
