A Night of Killer Comedy at the DPAC

Blog By: Kiera Ellsworth

A night of amazing entertainment and killer comedy to remember: Killers of Kill Tony at DPAC was not only hilarious but an undeniably unforgettable experience.

Today, as I waited with anticipation for this spectacular special, I had the absolute pleasure of working with Donna, DPAC’s lead usher. Assisting with this responsibility, I assisted in working the floor of DPAC’s orchestra level guiding guests to their seats. Although the position itself was a joy to experience, by far the best part was talking to the lead usher and hearing about her time working this job on a day-to-day basis. Her anecdotes, wisdom, and compliments regarding her time at this theater made my experience incredible and taught me an entirely new level of appreciation for the dedication of the people who work here and for the majesty of this theater in general. It's been said before, but a good space is defined by its people, and DPAC’s incredible people is what makes this theater not just good but spectacular in every definition.

After saying my goodbyes to the wonderful lead usher, I grabbed a snack (best pretzels in the business) and went up to meet my fellow ambassadors as we settled in for a great show.

Although nothing could compare to the joy of learning as one does as an ambassador at a beautiful venue, this uproarious special did put up quite the competition. Four wonderful comics, each with a unique comedic twist that kept the jokes fresh and the audience falling off their seats allowed for hours of unending laughter that no one would want to miss.

From the ambassador experience to the fabulous performance, this is certainly a DPAC night for the books. Looking forward to the next one!
