Ticketing with the Ambassadors at DPAC: A Beautiful Noise

Blog By: Sloane Williams

Last night I had the absolute pleasure of being a DPAC Heart of the Arts Ambassador for the Neil Diamond Musical. I started off my night by signing in as well as attending a meeting at the Presidents Club where the details of the show were being discussed. I then headed down to the ticketing area and had the joy of shadowing the ticket booth workers. I learned how to help print out tickets, retrieve audience members tickets, troubleshoot ticket malfunctions, and help answer questions. Everyone was extremely nice at the ticketing counter and welcomed patrons with bright smiles on their faces. I could tell just how excited audience members were for this show as they were handed their tickets.

After helping with ticketing, I went with my fellow ambassadors to find our seats for the show. I was undeniably amazed by the talent of the performers during this show as they acted, sang, and danced incredibly. The telling story of Neil Diamond's life was so compelling and was not only musically engaging but had audience members on the edge of their seats waiting to hear the rest of his miraculous life story. My favorite part was the live orchestra that was revealed during parts of the show. This night was by far one of my favorite DPAC shows I have ever seen, and I am so thankful for the opportunity to have spent time learning about ticketing and meeting the wonderful DPAC staff.
