Performing Arts Showstoppers at DPAC

Introducing the Performing Arts Showstoppers at DPAC.

This City of Durham community program is organized and managed by DPAC for Triangle area high school students who both love smiling and saying hello AND seeing Broadway at DPAC’s biggest shows.

For the 2024 / 2025 season, DPAC’s guests will be welcomed at DPAC’s entry doors by members of Performing Arts Showstoppers at DPAC. Showstoppers provide guests with a genuine and kind greeting as they arrive at DPAC for the very biggest Broadway shows on tour.  

The Showstopper program offers students the following:

• Volunteer service hours for college bound applications and resumes.
• Excellent customer service experience at one of the top-five performing arts centers in America.
• Access to experience Broadway at DPAC’s hit Broadway shows.  
• Invitation to special events and educational opportunities including chances to speak with the cast and crew of select touring productions,
• Plus, peer social gatherings with likeminded fans of Broadway and theatre.

The inspiration for this program comes from the Durham Wayfinders at DPAC, a City of Durham volunteer program where members share their time and talents in the spirit of helping everyone feel welcome at DPAC.
