DPAC is located at 123 Vivian Street, just off the I-885 / NC-147 (Exits 3B or 4), and adjacent to the famous Durham Bulls Athletic Park. We're part of the award-winning American Tobacco Historic District, with freeway access from Greensboro, Chapel Hill, Cary, Raleigh, and all of North Carolina via I-40, I-540, and I-85.
Special Traffic Advisory: Traffic on I-40 and the Durham Freeway into Downtown Durham has slowed dramatically with increased traffic counts and construction. If these highways are on your route to Durham, please budget an extra 30+ minutes travel time when coming to your next event at DPAC.
Driving Directions
From Chapel Hill via Hwy 15-501
- Take Highway 15-501 North to I-85
- Take Exit 108-B to merge onto NC-147
- Keep right to merge onto NC-147 South toward Downtown
- Take Exit 3 towards Bus US-15, Bus US-501
- Turn left onto S Roxboro St
- Turn left onto E Pettigrew St
- Turn left onto S Mangum St
- DPAC is located on the right near the intersection of W Pettigrew St and S Mangum St
From Raleigh, Cary and points East
- Take I-40 West
- Take exit 279-B to merge onto NC-147 North toward downtown Durham
- Take Exit 9 to merge onto Durham Freeway toward Downtown Durham
- Take Exit 3-B toward Bus US-15, Downtown
- Turn right onto S Roxboro St
- Turn left onto E Pettigrew St
- Turn left onto S Mangum St
- DPAC is located on the right near the intersection of S Mangum and E Pettigrew St
*Traffic and parking advisory for Durham Bulls home games:
When the Durham Bulls are playing a home game in the Durham Bulls Athletic Park located near DPAC, please look for special signage and routes to DPAC. Blackwell Street will be closed and parking in the South Parking Deck will be limited. DPAC traffic from the I-885 / NC 147 North, will be diverted to Roxboro Street for access to American Tobacco's North Parking Deck and the City of Durham's Corcoran Street Parking Deck, which will both have ample parking availability. The East Parking Deck closest to DPAC will be accessible only from Mangum Street, and parking there may also be limited. Please allow yourself extra time as you may experience slight traffic delays.

From Greensboro, Burlington and Points West
- Take I-40 East to Durham
- Keep left at the fork to continue on I-85 N, follow the signs for I-85/Durham
- Take Exit 172 to merge onto Durham Freeway toward downtown Durham, Research Triangle Park
- Take Exit 4-A onto Chapel Hill St
- Turn left onto W Chapel Hill St
- Turn right onto W Pettigrew St
- Turn right onto S Mangum St
- DPAC is located near the intersection of Pettigrew and Blackwell Streets
From Virginia and Points Northeast of Durham Along I-85
- Take I-85 South to Durham
- Take Exit 177 onto NC-55 toward US-15, US-501
- Turn left onto N Roxboro St
- DPAC will be on your right
Public Transportation Options
DPAC is located at 123 Vivian Street in the American Tobacco Historic District in Downtown Durham and is served by several nearby public transportation options. We’re a short 5-10 minute walk from Durham Station, which is the central transportation hub for all GoDurham and GoTriangle transit buses and from Amtrak's Durham Station.
